Dr. Shelby Alda, O.D.

Dr. Shelby Alda grew up in East Tawas, Michigan, where she attended Tawas Area High School. She completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies at Ferris State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology with high distinction before receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Michigan College of Optometry.

Dr. Alda completed additional clinical training with Andersen Eye Associates in Saginaw, Michigan, the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw, and with Seals, Tacia, Bartz, Zainea, and Whitmore.

She practices full-scope optometry with interests in ocular disease management and contact lens fittings.

Dr. Alda is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Michigan Optometric Association.

Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and staying active outdoors.
